Privacy Policy – Habit+ Family

When creating an account and setting up your family, we collect the following information:

• Email address (used for authentication)

• Name (for personalization purposes)

• Family member profiles:

- first name

- role (parent or child)

- date of birth

👉 The date of birth is used only to suggest habits and content adapted to the age range of each family member.

We collect data related to your use of the application, including:

• Habit tracking (habit names, completion dates, points earned)

• Activity planning (activity names, schedules, participants)

• Budget tracking (income, expenses, categories, amounts)

• Statistics (completion rate, streaks, badges earned)

This data is strictly necessary for the operation of the features offered by the application.

We may collect certain technical information, including:

• Device type (smartphone model)

• Operating system version (Android version)

• Application version

Habit+ Family is committed to minimal data collection. We do not collect any of the following data:

❌ Location data (GPS, geolocation)

❌ Contacts (phone directory)

❌ Photos or media (images, videos)

❌ Phone calls or SMS

📌 Regarding cookies and advertising:

• On the website: advertising cookies (Google AdSense) and analytics cookies (Amplitude) may only be placed with your explicit consent.

• In the mobile app: ads are displayed via Google AdMob. By default, ads are non-personalized. No advertising cookies are placed without your consent.

• Your personal data (habits, budget, calendar, profiles) is never used to target ads.

Your data is stored securely via Supabase cloud infrastructure, using a PostgreSQL database.

• Region: Europe – Ireland

• Encryption:

- Data encrypted at rest

- Data encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS)

We implement strict technical and organizational measures, including:

• Row Level Security (RLS): each family's data is strictly isolated

• Secure authentication: encrypted passwords (bcrypt hash)

• HTTPS connection only

• Functional data isolation: your personal data (habits, budget, calendar, profiles) is never transmitted to advertising providers (Google AdSense, Google AdMob). Only anonymous technical data (device type, advertising identifier) may be used by these services for ad delivery.

We never sell, exchange or rent your personal data to third parties.

We use the following service providers:

• Supabase: backend infrastructure and data storage (GDPR compliant, SOC 2 Type II)

• Amplitude: anonymized analytics to improve website user experience only (GDPR compliant, EU servers)

• Google AdSense (website): displaying ads to fund the project. Ads are always displayed. With your consent, Google may place cookies to personalize ads. Without consent, ads are displayed in non-personalized mode. Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• Google AdMob (mobile app): displaying ads in the app to fund the project. By default, ads are non-personalized. Users can consent to personalization via the app settings. Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Amplitude collects anonymized browsing data on our website (pages visited, button clicks) to help us improve the interface and content. This data is never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

📌 No personal data from the app (habits, budget, calendar, profiles) is transmitted to Google AdSense, Google AdMob or any other advertising provider.

We may be required to disclose certain data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

In this case, we will inform you, unless legally prohibited.

Our website (habit-plus-family.com) uses Amplitude Analytics to understand how visitors use the site.

Data collected by Amplitude:

• Pages visited

• Button clicks (e.g.: download the app)

• Time spent on each page

• Device type and browser

This data is:

✅ Anonymized (no personal identification)

✅ Stored on European servers (GDPR)

✅ Used only to improve user experience

❌ Never sold or shared for advertising purposes

Cookies placed: Amplitude uses technical cookies to measure sessions and avoid duplicates. These cookies are only placed after your explicit consent ("Analytics cookies" category in the consent banner). You can also block them via your browser settings.

Our website uses Google AdSense to display ads. Ads are always displayed, regardless of your consent choice.

How it works based on your consent:

• If you accept advertising cookies: Google may place cookies to personalize ads based on your browsing and measure their performance.

• If you reject advertising cookies: ads are displayed in non-personalized mode (NPA). Google does not place any ad targeting cookies.
